 This is a cute and easy star ornament. I had LOTS of help from Maus to figure how to do the inner circle, the plaits and windmill crossings of the plaits. There was lots of techniques that I hadn't tried before. So this tested it for me. The thread I used is a linen 40/2 called "Flax 'n' Colors.It comes from The Thread Gatherer in Boise, ID. The color name is dark garnet, but it is more of a nice raspberry varigated. This is also the first time I have done bobbin lace using linen thread. I am used to cotton. Seemed a bit fuzzy to me. I think I will give this pricking another try using cotton. |
